Helen is the host and co-programmer of Aberration, the LGBT+ arts night in Aberystwyth.  She has run writing courses in Liverpool and London and looks forward to sharing her enthusiasm with a new group closer to home.

Comments from participants in Helen’s last project:
‘The whole course was transfantastic!’
‘I’m pleased about feeling accepted and making friends’
‘I found the feedback useful and inspiring’
‘It was an amazing course which has really helped my writing skills, improving my confidence’
‘I am pleased that with the group’s support, I will be able to read to an audience.’

Note: For those further south, a similar course is available in Carmarthen with another tutor, Karen Brewer. We hope to publish a joint pamphlet from the two projects and bring the two groups together at the showcase reading.

Noson Hanes:
“Forbidden Lives”

{Go to English>>}

23 Chwefror 2018, 7.45yh, Stiwdio, Aberystwyth Arts Centre

Noson arbennig yn nodi Mis Hanesyddol LHDT y DU gyda thrafodaethau byrion a pherfformiadau am straeon cuddiedig o Gymru (ac ambell i gongl o Loegr).

Mi fydd Mike Parker yn dangos cip olwg o’i lyfr nesaf, “On the Red Hill”, sy’n astudiaeth glodforus o ‘hoyw gwledig’ trwy hanes cariadon howy yn yr ugeinfed ganrif.

Mi fydd aelodau o Glitter Cymru, grŵp cymdeithasol BAME LHDT Caerdydd yn trafod eu ffilm benigamp ‘Glitter’, a grëwyd gan Iris Outreach. (Yn ogystal, rydym yn edrych ymlaen at ffilm fydd Abberation yn ei greu gydag Iris).

Cawn glywed am lyfr newydd Norena Shopland, Forbidden Lives (Seren, £12.99): Straeon gwir ryfeddol am y bobl a death o’n Blaenau yn LHDT Cymru.

Daw Tom Marshman ran o’i ddarn theatr sy’n cael ei ddatblygu. Dechreuir “The Geoffrey Train” gyda ‘heddwas golygus’ a dyn hardd ar drên yn ystod y 1950au.

… Ac ymddangosiad gan Fenywod Llangollen.

Cefnogir gan Gwesty Over the Rainbow a Prifysgol Aberystwyth.

*RHYBUDD: mi fydd y digwyddiad yn un gwych ac felly yn gwerthu allan!*
